Day One

Hello World!

So today is day two. I am doing pretty good I think. For breakfast this morning I had cereal (Cheerio’s Multi grain) and 1/2 cup of almond milk. We buy almond milk because my fiance can’t have regular milk b/c of his tummy. And than today for lunch I 60 jello pudding and a healthy choice Tuscan Style Chicken. And than for dinner tonight we are goign to make taco salads and of course measure the portion size.

I am trying to keep my calorie count at about 1200 and sometime run over to about 1500. I am not sure what the right calorie count for my weight should be or where I should look to find that. I am at 257, so I think that if my goal weight is 130 to eat about 1300 calories? Any better ideas or a better place in order to look? I also am trying to make my calorie’s count and not be worthless calories so I have also signed up at a place called “my pyramid tracker” it is a government webpage and I am trying to keep adding my food to it so that I can see what vitamins and whatnot I might be missing each day so that I can make sure that I am getting what I need in order to be healthy. That is what this is about to me, not neccisarly the number but just be comfy in my skin and be health person even if that is above my goal weight. I want to change my eating habits and my lifestyle.

 It is hard at work to keep focused. I don’t really get up during the day and I need to start doing that at least walking here or there to make sure that I am getting some movement during the day but I have not done that today, i think I will try and bring my shoes tommorrow and see if I can’t take a walk during hte morning time

So, in conclusion: Still learning what number of calories I should be at will continue to researching let me know if you find anything, and tracking my calories and nutrition and hopefully tommorrow I will remember to bring in my shoes and go for a walk.

    If you are at 257 lbs, I think you can eat more then 1200 calories each day and lose weight. You need to figure out your BMR - that will tell you what calorie range you should be eating at. I suggest you google how to figure your BMR and with one of the online tools, figure out what you need to eat at.

    I think you can eat closer to 1500 to 1900 calories daily and still lose weight, because you do weigh 257 lbs.

    Good luck! Sounds like you are on the right path to losing weight.
